Sark Property Services has a close association with local builders, Phil Godwin Building Contractors. The company was established in 1985. In that time Phil has worked on numerous projects, from minor house repairs and decorating to some of the largest building projects on the Island of Sark. At present Phil has just completed the New Sark School Project with teachers and pupils very happy with their new environment.
Les Quatre Vents Workshop produces general house joinery work, stairs, windows, doors etc. One of the most rewarding projects was rebuilding and renovated horse drawn carriages.
At the moment the company has undertaken building new custom designed furniture for some local residents.
The company is fully insured to work on both domestic and commercial properties including the local telephone exchange and hotels etc..
Phil has a number of local skilled employees covering all aspects of the building trade, all with a large local knowledge of the island and local houses. One employee is learning an apprenticeship working on site and attending Guernsey College of Further Education and will soon be a fully qualified stonemason to join the other journeymen that Phil currently employs.
The company has a large range of up to date building equipment and workshop machinery, as well as mass scaffolding, excavators, cement mixers, extensive plant tools and portable power tools etc This wide range of modern equipment brings huge cost savings to projects of any size
Philip has finished the New Sark Island Hall. This new asset to the island will be open for 10th May 2005, Sark Liberation Day.
